The Person Behind
Amba Untamed
BAILEY
RITUAL HERBALIST : TRAUMA WITCH
I am the one that stood in front of a Tiger.
That's not metaphor. Its origin.

Amba is a name with roots that reach across cultures and mythology, but three meanings found me with particular force: tiger, warrior, mother.
THE TIGER — WITNESS & JUDGE
Among Indigenous peoples of the Russian Far East, Amba is a name associated with the Amur tiger—not simply as an animal, but as a powerful presence within the landscape.
That meaning became deeply personal to me.
AMBA WASN’T INVENTED. SHE WAS FOUND.
The Story
In 2009, while working at the Calgary Zoo, a safety failure brought me face to face with an adult Amur tiger.
And for those who doubt the story - I have the video ;)
I survived. I did not walk away unchanged. Years later, Amba gave me language for something I had been carrying ever since: the wild thing that witnesses, remembers, and refuses to look away.
THE WARRIOR — RECLAMATION
In the Mahabharata, Amba is a woman whose life is altered by injustice. Rather than quietly accept what was done to her, her story becomes one of rage, agency, transformation, and eventual rebirth. Not returning to who she was. Becoming someone new.
THE MOTHER — CREATION & PROTECTION
In Sanskrit, ambā means mother Not motherhood reduced to softness, but the older archetype: the force that creates, protects, nourishes, and knows when to bare her teeth.
WHY AMBA UNTAMED
I didn't choose the name lightly. Tiger. Warrior. Mother. Somewhere between myth and lived experience, those threads became the language of my work. Amba Untamed is not about taming the wild parts of ourselves. It is about remembering that some things were never meant to be domesticated. It is about what survives. What transforms. What grows back after fire.
This changed me.
This does not own me.

Trauma-informed: I understand dysregulation, dissociation, and survival patterns - because I've lived them
...
Wildcrafted: every plant is ethically foraged by me.
...
Mystically structured: Everything I offer is shaped by sacred pattern.
I am not a guru.
I am not a lightworker.
I am not here to fix you.
The Way I Work
I am here to mirror you - through mud and moonlight. Through plant and prayer. I create containers for grief, rage, remembrance, and ritual
If you're crawling back from something brutal -
If you're feral, unraveling, or on fire -
This is your place.
My Sky My Framework
These are the lenses I move through the world with. They are not rules - just maps that help me understand, create, and stay connected to what's real.
